This short video recording is suitable for all educational staff and Governors. It includes all elements of knowledge and updates required to fulfil the requirements of annual update training as per KCSiE 2025. It can also be used as part of your induction training for all staff and Governors.
Key elements covered are:
- Identify the ways in which children and young people communicate and interact online
- Identify some of the key risks, issues and harm they may be exposed to
- Understand how online activity can impact positively and negatively on them
- Identify ways we as educational professionals can support them to keep them safer online
The whole process has really helped us to focus in on our strengths, particularly with your thoughts on how we can better highlight these to an inspection team and external partners more generally, as well as highlighting areas that need further work. I have experienced a number of visits from various improvement partners in my experience as a head - this visit has been one of the most productive especially within the context of a new and relatively unknown framework.
