The SIP Package

School Improvement Plan packages

We are committed to no school being alone. If you are a school leader without a hub then these packages will enable you to access everything our Melhoria family of schools have – including each other! Our approach to our school improvement work is to develop open, honest and trusted relationships with all our schools. To provide you with professional challenge and feedback, and to ensure that we are always available to offerflexible support and guidance, when you need it. We aim to be part of your team. All visits include a written note of visit to support your self-evaluation process. 

The  standalone SIP package

This flexible package is designed to support individual schools to develop an ongoing relationship with their nominated SIP who can provide support and challenge through a range of activities.

Some of you may not yet be working as a hub or family of schools. If so, this package may be for you!

As part of the Melhoria family you will have access to all our resources and discounted CPD. We actively encourage schools to make links across the wider Melhoria family so this will also be part of the package.

This package includes the following

  • School review visit (focus to be agreed)
  • 1/2 day follow up session
  • HTPM

 

Cost: £2000 (20% reduction for small schools of less than 120 pupils)

This package is designed to be flexible. Your nominated SIP will support you and your governors through the process, either simply as an external advisor, or to write up and record the process.

 

Wellbeing Support

 

Headship can be an extremely tough and lonely role as well as one of the best jobs in the world! Our team of Associates have a wide range of expertise and are on hand to offer support.

The Head Teacher Performance Management Package

 

Head Teacher Performance Management PackageThis package is designed to be flexible. Your nominated SIP will support you and your governors through the process, either simply as an external advisor, or to write up and record the process.

What's included in The Head Teacher Performance Management Package

½  day support

  • Support governors through the HTPM cycle
  • Advise as appropriate and provide suugested paperwork if required.
  • Provide write up if needed

 

Cost:

£400 providing advisor support.

£550 to include write up of targets and review

The Governor Development Package

Governor Development PackageThis is a flexible package aimed at supporting governors in their role. It can include a variety of activities to meet the needs to specific governing bodies.

What's in The Governor Development Package

A range of activities are listed below – please contact us with your needs.

  • Governance audit – where are you now and what do you need to develop (includes developing an action plan)
  • Understanding the difference between strategic and operational – are you strategic enough?
  • Understanding the SEF, SDP and head teacher’s report to governors. Are you appropriately challenging?
  • How do you effectively monitor - sessions to cover pupil voice, learning walks and meetings with middle leaders.
  • Governors -  Are you ready for OFSTED?– Online or onsite session 1.5 hours (Online £100 – onsite £200)

Headteacher Recruitment Support

Head teacher recruitment can be an extremely stressfull time for schools and governors

Complaints Investigation Support

Occasionally external complaints can become complex, and leaders and govenors may require external support to ensure your complaints are managed effectively in line with your school policy.

The learning walks and reviews they have carried out have been crucial to the school’s development. Judith conducts our annual safeguarding reviews, which are always exceptionally thorough and leave us feeling confident, well-informed, and clear about any changes or improvements required.
